Science Fair Success
Do the states of matter, matter? Should you be steamed about evaporating liquids and what would a watered down version of ice look like?
Well, judging by the investigative skills, strict methodology and use of fair testing from our Year 5 and 6's, the state of matter is an experiment worth conducting.
The science fair was well attended by parents and staff who spent time listening to hypothesis, explanation and learning about what happens when various substances interact. The teachers would like to thank those who attended and are also grateful that the bunsen burners in the hall did not result in a fire evacuation!

School and Website Photos next week
School Photos
Our school photos will be taken next week on Wednesday. Please make sure you child has a clean uniform, is not wearing thermals or a bright headband. The photographers will be ready from 8.15am for family photos if you would like one.
Children will be in their school polo shirts for the photos, so it is important these are clean and not needing a repair.
Website Photos
From mid-morning onwards, a photographer will be in the school capturing school life. These photos will be used as part of the upgrade to our website.

Graham Street Crossing and Feet First
As we move into the summer terms, we are looking for volunteers to help at the Graham St crossing, weekdays, 8.30-9am and 3-3.30pm. We would like our volunteers to help our children cross the road safely. At some point we will also explore the option of a walking school bus for the Eastern side of Tinwald. If you or someone you know is interested in helping, please email the principal at; principal@tinwald.school.nz
We are also encouraging families to walk to school with the warmer weather increasing. This is part of the Feet First campaign.
Netfit in the School Holidays

Following the success of these programmes, we are proud to announce we are coming back with a fresh clinic program for October.
Perfect for ages 7-12, our NETFIT Clinic program covers fundamental skills with a focus on fun to build confidence and create lifelong netballers!
